Free Mental Health Screenings

As a participant in the Campaign for America’s Mental Health, the Association participates in annual screening events offered free of charge to the community.

National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day occurs during May, which is Mental Health Month. National Depression Screening Day is held in early October, in conjunction with Mental Illness Awareness Week. Attendees are given the opportunity to complete a confidential written screening test and to speak with a mental health professional. Those who appear to need further evaluation are referred to local treatment services. The Association works closely with Tulsa-area agencies offering treatment on a sliding-scale basis and works to ensure individuals advised to seek treatment do not go without help, even if they are uninsured.
