WHAT IS LISTEN UP TULSAListenUp Tulsa is a structured forum for youth to present their views, opinions and solutions on issues they face within their schools, communities and everyday life. The conference empowers youth with the knowledge and confidence that what they say, think, and do is important to community leaders. During the event, students give presentations to a listening panel comprised of business and civic leaders, as well as policy makers. The role of the panel member is to listen to the students and their presentations. This conference provides adults with the information necessary to make policy and business decisions based on the needs of youth in the Tulsa area. After the students’ presentations, the goal is for students to collaborate with a panel of influential adults to develop a way to improve upon these problems. BECOME A SPONSOR!In order to host a successful ListenUp Tulsa conference, we need your support and contribution to assist with the progression of giving a voice to young people and assisting with the changes they want to see. Please complete and return the attached form, noting the amount you or your organization can donate. In addition to the items listed for each sponsor level, your monies will help fund transportation for area schools to attend and provide a grant to a group of young people to take their issue to the next level and integrate the solutions and/or awareness in the community. Logos must be received in an eps format no later than March 5, 2013. Please email logo to listenup@mhat.org. Payment must be received no later than March 10, 2013.
