WHAT IS LISTEN UP TULSA
ListenUp Tulsa is a structured forum for youth to present their views, opinions and solutions on issues they face within their schools, communities and everyday life. The conference empowers youth with the knowledge and confidence that what they say, think, and do is important to community leaders.
During the event, students give presentations to a listening panel comprised of business and civic leaders, as well as policy makers. The role of the panel member is to listen to the students and their presentations. This conference provides adults with the information necessary to make policy and business decisions based on the needs of youth in the Tulsa area. After the students’ presentations, the goal is for students to collaborate with a panel of influential adults to develop a way to improve upon these problems.
