The Association’s Legal Outreach program has compiled this list of websites to help you navigate through the legal system.

Oklahoma has a free legal information website with information on a variety of topics, including housing, public benefits, life planning, senior issues, individual rights, work issues, disability law, family law and consumer law. www.oklaw.org

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma provides free civil (not criminal) legal assistance to those with low incomes and to seniors age 60 and older. The website also has information and resources about Oklahoma law, including domestic violence, identity theft and family law topics. Families in Transition, a project of the Tulsa County District Court, focuses on changing the Domestic Relations Division to minimize conflict, promote the well-being of children, conserve family resources, encourage alternate dispute resolution and preserve the integrity of trials. Its website contains valuable information regarding divorce, child custody and child support, court rules and dockets, mediators and family specialists, as well as forms and links to related resources. www.familiesintransition.com

The Oklahoma State Courts Network consolidates Oklahoma statutes and cases law, as well as selected federal information in a searchable database. The website features court dockets for a limited number of counties. In addition to links to alternative dispute resolution and certain legal forms, the OSCN homepage offers links to the Oklahoma state government, the Oklahoma Legislative Service Bureau, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. www.oscn.net

The Oklahoma Bar Association assists Oklahoma lawyers in providing justice for all. Its website includes information about the Bar’s public service programs, law-related education, brochures and publications about selected legal issues, and judges and courts. The website contains features for finding an attorney, as well as filing a complaint against an attorney. www.okbar.org

The Tulsa County Bar Association offers information regarding its lawyer-referral service, as well as pertinent information for attorneys in Tulsa County. www.tulsabar.com
